UNU-FLORES - Investment and Business Intelligence Analysis for Critical Raw Materials in Central Asia, Dresden, Germany

DHC supports UNU-FLORES in the project “Resource Nexus Analysis of Critical Raw Materials Landscapes in Central Asia” by conducting an investment-oriented analysis of Critical Raw Materials in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

The work focuses on the assessment of geological potential, reserves, production capacities, value chains, regulatory frameworks, ESG standards, infrastructure, financing conditions, and investment opportunities relevant to European industry. The analysis also includes the identification of concrete cooperation and investment cases for European investors and the Critical Raw Materials Facility.

By combining mining sector expertise with business intelligence, value chain analysis, and investment assessment, the project contributes to a better understanding of strategic raw material opportunities and challenges in Central Asia.
